advanced agility
More than any event, this is the ultimate test of athleticism; demanding
blinding speed, amazing agility and breathtaking balance. Competitors race
through weave poles, over hurdles, through tunnels and across balance beams.
The dog must be in perfect sync with the parent for there is no leash and
collar. Dogs must learn a whole new vocabulary so they don't run up the A-frame
when they should be headed for the weave poles. But, more importantly, there is
no pressure with agility -- it's pure joy.
advanced agility includes:
Review
of all obstacles - Tire, Tunnel, Chute, etc.
Review of contact obstacles - Dog Walk, A-Frame, etc.
Review
correct body language
Run trial courses
Course Length: 6 weeks
(Once a week, same day and time, for approximately an
hour)
Prerequisite: Completion of Basic Agility courses or approval of instructor
and current vaccinations (See
